Robert Guerrero is coming off of a dominant title winning effort over South Africa's Malcolm Klassen. The win makes him a two-division world champion, and one of the top rated super featherweight boxers on the planet. Known as The Ghost, Guerrero was anything but on Saturday night in Houston. He was consistently in Klassen's face, landing solid combinations and dictating the pace and distance of the action. I got the chance to speak with Robert about his performance and his future plans.
Congrats on the big win…Would you say this was the best performance of your career?
RG: So far, I'd have to say yea. I mean, we had a game plan, I executed it and I did a lot of stuff in there I usually don't do.
So have the doubters officially been silenced?
RG: Yea, officially I think the doubters have been shushed. But there's always somebody out there. So you keep on going and stay working hard. More... »

It only took two rounds. Two rounds was all that Manny Pacquiao needed in order to completely obliterate Ricky Hatton and his hopes at conquering the pound for pound champion.
Nothing can be taken away from Pacquiao's performance this time. There was no old legend that had to cut more weight than he was accustomed to. What stood in Pacquiao's way was the reigning junior welterweight champion. A fighter renowned for his strength and his power. And he was completely outmatched against the pound for pound king. Well, I must say that the Ricky Hatton vs. Paulie Malignaggi fight went largely as I predicted in my post several days ago. The only thing that messed it up some was that Buddy McGirt took it into his own hands to throw in the towel and end the fight for his game fighter in the 11th round. More... »

What a great boxing title fight and unification showdown we got to witness tonight! Vic Darchinyan vs. Christian Mijares had all of the making of a unique style match-up. The slick and defensive boxer puncher in Mijares against the all out, wild swinging, power puncher in Darchinyan. But I think very few people predicted this kind of outcome.
From the opening bell it was clear that this was a different Vic Darchinyan than we've been used to seeing. After suffering a knockout loss against Nonito Donaire, Vic definitely got back into the gym and put his work in. It's a testament to his ability and his work ethic that he was able to retool himself and incorporate better form, more effort, crisper shots and sounder fundamentals. More... »

If you have seen the Librado Andrade versus Lucian Bute fight that was shown on Showtime recently, you've heard a lot from the announcing crew and the reporting since about the controversy surrounding it. If you haven't seen it, here's the break down: Bute was easily winning the fight by out-boxing Andrade and landing cleaner shots.
However, as the fight wore on, Bute started to become more tired as Andrade started to apply more pressure. More... »
